The highest growth in production was recorded in 1978. This occured after completing the first stage of construction of the new production plant at a new location and after purchasing machinery that enabled up-to-date production and series manufacturing.
This is a period that contains some significant events. Until 1979, SVEA, with obsolete technology, a lack of resources and out-dated design, could somehow not make a breakthrough. In 1979 the company signed a blank draft for the Jugotržnica Beograd banking institution, which was later unexpectedly called upon by Investbanka, which was a tremendous financial shock for SVEA.
