In compliance with the requirements of CEI-Bois (the European Confederation of Woodworking Industries) and in collaboration with the Slovenijales Development Institute, we defined the specific development goals and tasks to be carried out by 1990.
Period of investing. All the machinery in the sawmill was replaced, drying capacities were enlarged, transporting routes installed and, finally, with a new kitchen series we managed to enter the European market in 1988.
Following the restructuring in 1988, we merged into a single work organization, SVEA Lesna industrija p.o. Zagorje ob Savi.
In April 1989, a new kitchen showroom was opened across the Petrol gas station. The architecture of the building itself was our contribution to a pleasant ambient design, and the showroom was now a place where our customers had a chance to see what so far was available only in catalogues.
